Scott started studying at YMCA Key College in 2019 as an alternative provision student. Finding mainstream education unsuitable meant that for his final two years at school, instead of attending usual lessons, Scott would learn with our tutors at YMCA Key College.
Now, after moving on from school, Scott is studying Entry Level 3 Hospitality and Catering, Level 1 in Nutrition and Health alongside Maths, English and Functional Skills.
“Key College is really open, I’ve always found I could talk to people easily and it was very simply to apply. I enjoyed it so much here on my school programme and it was a familiar setting which made me comfortable.”
“In the future I want my own restaurant with a bar. I have big ambitions in life and I also want to travel the word, perhaps setting up a catering business in another country. However, I have to start somewhere and that’s college!”
“I really like the staff here, they know their stuff and they help out so much. I would recommend YMCA Key College to anyone. If you don’t know what do but you are looking for a course, come here – it’s a really nice place. The more the merrier!”
